Wow - the time is almost nigh. We have been dreaming about being able to do something like this for so long it doesn' seem quite real that it's really happening. We've now finished work and are spending this week emptying/tidying our house for our new tenants who will move in on the weekend.
Had a fantastic going away party on the weekend thanks to all our lovely Kaiapoi friends. There were even a couple of trays of buuz, a mongolian staple, amongst all the wonderful food that people brought on the night.
We fly ChCh to Auckland on Wednesday the 12th then on to Seoul on the 13th. We're planning to stop in Seoul for a couple of nights before the 3 1/2 hour flight onto Ulaanbaatar. We've just had wonderful news that it is highly likely we will be able to shift into our apartment soon after arriving which I am sure will make it a lot easier for the kids to settle. Usually volunteers all stay together in shared accomodation during the initial orientation.
Lots of love to you all out there and I will try my best to keep updates coming over what I suspect will be a whirr of weeks to come.
