We just signed the dotted line to rent the house yesterday which is really exciting and a big load off our minds. We've also just paid for our tickets which came in a little more expensive than we expected, but on the good side we have also had news that we won't have to contribute to the cost of our accomodation. Overall things have worked out positively, we have also had some other generous financial contributions towards our travels. Again, it is so humbling to have so many people behind us in all sorts of ways as we head out into the unknown.
It was lovely to have Madz and Xi and family (old friends from palmy days) visit us over the last 5 days, the kids had heaps of fun charging around and there was lots of yarns to be had Mongolia related and otherwise.
For anyone who's interested we downloaded a couple of video clips (for a small fee) from http://www.longwayround.com/ following a couple of dudes on their motorbike tour from London to New York. We only downloaded the 2 episodes pertaining to Mongolia but it was very entertaining and fascinating. There isn't a heap of coverage on Ulaanbaatar, but lots of amazing footage of rural Mongolia.
Thank-you to everyone out there who's following us on this blog. We would love to hear from you anytime.
